Learning curves are never fun.
Here's what happens when you're just too stubborn... er... is that lazy? to read your camera manual. The focus finder simply decides for you which image within the photo it deems to be the important subject matter. Unfortunately, in this case and several others... Little H just didn't seem that interesting to the camera.
Yeah, I'm absolutely stoked that the climbing apparatus is completely crisp and clear. Meanwhile H Man is completely out of focus... a nasty problem complicated by a super busy 2 year old who is constantly on the move.
Which is why going digital totally rocks. You snap 50 shots and hope that at least 5 or 6 aren't complete crap. Odds were pretty good this time around actually ;)
