On a Roll...
"Rock it to the Left."
"Rock it to the Right."
"Push it up.".....
"Up. Up. Up."
"And Ooooohhh-Verrrrr."Of course, this is where I nearly dropped the camera in order to catch the little bugger from hitting the pavement. Literally. As we were outside.
5 months old now and already pushing and scooting all over the place. Yeesh. We're in for some trouble soon... I can just feel it.

Dare Devil Dawg...
It's a beautiful day...
the sun is shining, the birds are singing and there's nary a cloud in the sky.
All is bright and happy and serene.
UNTIL...
You turn your back for 35 seconds.
Thirty-Five Measly Little Seconds.
Then you turn back around and become a witness to this:
Last weekend the H-Man came up with this little stunt -
All. On. His. Own.
Where in the Hell did this Evil Knievel Gene come from??
Who contributed it??
I Dunno. Honestly.
It's Not from Me... I can assure you.
The P?? Doubtful.
While I must admit we got a total kick out of it...
at the time.
And it's still pretty funny, even now.
But Seriously Folks, I gotta say...
the possibilities are sorta freakin' me out
and doing some crazy ass things to my spine.

The Good, The Bad and The Potty
If it's just that we're so easily entertained these days...
{Gee Whiz... Ya Think??!!}
and close at hand before taking a seat.
Hopefully you'll enjoy it as much as The P and I did!
It's the simple things in life we cherish.

Whas'sat??!
Here's a few captures of the looking and listening part.

And here's the H-Man... coming in for his close-up.
And coming and coming.
Easy Son... Back it up.
Ending with the "But Why?" Look.

Just Kickin' It...
Sheesh... I've been busy.
A 3 year old and a 4 month old does not a blog make.
Neither do they allow for much down time these days.
So be a sport and throw this poor old tired Dawg a bone.
Besides... my infamous camera lens has been in the shop.
Yes, AH-Gain.
But now it's out.
We'll see how long it lasts, this time around.
Of course these photos look off to me somehow.
Grainy... fuzzy... something.
Hmmmm.

This last shot is Classic Flynner.
I wear this Exact expression All the time.
It usually pertains to the following thoughts:
A) Get Real.
B) Lame-Ass.
C) Step Back.
D) You're an ID.I.OT.
E) All of the Above
With that said... where this look is concerned...
Make of it what you will.
Personally, I took it to mean either B or D.

Duck, Duck, Goose...
So... what did you do over the weekend?? We went to the fair.
The sacrifices we make for our children, I tell you what. To say that I - Yes, I went to the fair is REALLY saying something... because I detest fairs. Actually 'detest' just isn't a strong enough word in all honesty. The noise, the crowds, the smoke, the health code violating food stands, the pungent smell of B.O. wafting through the air, the Carnies, the Rednecks, the wife-beater T's.... oh, I could just go on and on. But don't worry... I'm stopping myself now. Before all the sensory memories come flooding back causing the nausea to make me shudder, gag and cough.
If any of those observations offend you... Well. That's just too damn bad. Fairs completely and totally Creep me out. There's always a nasty carnival running in conjunction and most of the folks milling about are chain smoking, mullet wearing side show exhibits that seem to be missing 85% of their teeth. Ahhh.... It's a lovely site to behold.
Anyhow, we went so that H-man could check out all the animals... and as predicted he absolutely Loved it. We got to see Horses, Goats, Pigs, Chickens, Roosters, Bunnies, Ginormous Rabbits (these guys were Bigger than our dogs!!), Sheep, Ducks, Cows, Turkeys, Guinea Pigs and lots and lots of ill groomed, toothless, inbred People too.
Hen's favorite parts:
1) The Horses - he really thought the horses were all kinds of cool.
2) Watching the Cows getting milked - both by hand and by machine.
3) The Children's Zoo - petting the Ducks totally Rocked!!
Over all we had a really a good time and enjoyed lots of commentary about 'Poop' from the H-man. This was probably one the biggest fairs we've ever seen. They had 10 out buildings full of just cows and horses, and there must have been over 400 different chickens and roosters in the poultry division. I've never seen so many different kinds of chickens! Some were itty bitty but Lots of them were Enormous. (Again, bigger than the dogs!)
I would have liked to have gotten a few photos - but I didn't. Simply put - I was too nervous. I hate to admit it -- but I'm a little 'Chicken' when it comes to Chickens. HaHaHaHa. And to say that I basically Ran through the poultry barn could be considered a bit of an understatement. Chickens frighten me... Seriously! Especially the Roosters. Afterall, Nobody likes a scary looking Cock. (sorry, I can't help myself)
But not Ducks... Ducks are sweet.
I'm Not afraid of the Ducks,
and neither was the Henmeister :)

Who're You Calling Carrots??
Then... quite suddenly, and without warning -- it was gone.
And now, what's growing back in its place is Much more similar to little H's strawberry blonde,
So who knows. It's hard to say.
Cause this sort of thing never happened with the H-man.
He was Red from the get go & never lost a lock.
But everyday it's looking more and more
like we're gonna have two little Red-Heads in the family.

There Are No Words...
We've lost two of our beloved family members within the past 3 months. And as a result are feeling quite numb. The grief is, at times, overwhelming. The sadness, all-consuming. We loved them with all of our hearts and will miss them immeasurably.

************************************************
There are so many things I want to say...
but cannot find the words...
W.H. Auden probably said it best.
Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.
Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message He Is Dead,
Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.
He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last for ever: I was wrong.
The stars are not wanted now: put out every one;
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood.
For nothing now can ever come to any good.
-- W. H. Auden
