Moraine State Park is only a short(ish) little jaunt from where we are. It's truly a lovely place. There's a beautiful little lake, surrounded by a plethora of lush, gorgeous trees and features a totally magnificent walking/biking path that winds and twists it's way along the water's edge. There is usually a fair amount of wind, so hats and sweatshirts are generally required. Of course the windy rewards pay off huge with the stunning views, frequently dotted with the most adorable little sail boats. It's ahhhmazing... and if we take all the back roads (which are never in short supply around here) the drive to and from always proves to be quite grand as well.
We often make our way up on the weekends and just dilly dally about for a few hours. This weekend we went for a marvelous walk. H-Man collected various treasures from nature, Flynn slept, we got in a bit of exercise and Evai (our Boston Terrier) got so tuckered out that she had to ride in the stroller. It was a hoot.
aaaaahhhhh....
Thoroughly enjoyable.
(Sigh. Big Sigh.)
Good Stuff.
