Here are a few of my favorite shots from our first summer here in Pennsylvania. Love, Love, Love 'em! It's sort of strange to think that we won't actually be here come summertime. We love our home so much, that it's weird to not imagine ourselves here anymore. Hmmm...
Anyhow... H-man initiated a strange topic of discussion today. Out of the blue he says: "Where did the Sphinx's arms go?" You know, the one in Egypt? Well, I tried to explain to him the bit about how the Sphinx is part man and part lion. And that his arms are stretched out in front of him... like when a lion lays down. But he was having absolutely None of it. He quickly thrust up his hand and said: "Stop, Mom. That's crazy talk. He's NOT layin' down. There's NO lion. He's got no shoulders. His arms just fell off. They're lost now. Pay attention, Please."
Oh, Brother.
In other BIG news... Flynner stood up today. With the aid of the coffee table to steady him. Just right on up. Oh joy. Sure he's done it before, but up until today has been pretty wobbly, often careening over like a falling tree in a matter of seconds. However, tonight he stood next to the table for at least 3 minutes. Even taking care to bend over (while still grasping the table) to pick up a ball. Which he did successfully, without falling. He was actually doing quite well (and please as punch with himself) until he got all apeshit crazy while pounding the ball on the table top, then, down he went. Down, down, down.
