Boy with a View...

This past weekend we decided to spend a day over at Mt. Washington. It's a very cool area of Pittsburgh with some pretty stellar views of the city. We had wanted to take a ride on the Monorails... but they seemed rather crowded [since it was the weekend]. The Monorails take you from the top of the mountain down to the river area and back up again. They used to be people movers for the city commuters... now they're just tourist traps. But still cool. Sort of like Pittsburgh's version of the Space Needle.

As diverting as we thought this activity would be, our H Boy didn't look all together thrilled by the prospect. So instead we just strolled around the neighborhood. What little bit of neighborhood there was... actually now that I think about it, there wasn't much around at all. Except for the view of course. There was an awful lot of that!!

It was fairly sunny [wonders never cease] for Pittsburgh and with the added humidity Little H Man overheated pretty quickly. We found an adorable little ice cream shoppe and got him cooled down abit... then loaded him up in his canopy covered wagon. That sure made the trek back to the car much more enjoyable... least ways for him. Mama & Papa quietly roasted while they took in the rest of the sights.

Yeah the view was pretty spectacular...
I bet it's a beauty to experience at night.

We so Totally Love living near the City. It Rocks!
Even if the Rivers don't look very inviting. We love it anyhow ;)
