Enjoying a beautiful day on Mount Washington...
over looking Pittsburgh.
We love it up here!
He wants to talk about it all the time. And I do mean All. The. Time. A favorite topic for this weekend was how the "waaaaay taaahhhhl" buildings can touch the sky. It's pretty amazing how just about everything, at one point or another, gets compared to the city and it's skyline throughout the day. Always with an enormous amount of energy and excitement!
"Hey! Dis boom is really tall, like the city, Mom." (broom)
"Dose lights can touch the sky, Mom, Look! Like the city."
"Henry Young's dinosaurs are stacked up waaay taaahll! Like the skee-caps in the city!" (sky scrapers)
"Hey Mom! Hen-ER-eee's* boney looks like the city!"
(he's just nibbled his baloney into the shape of a city skyline)
This morning we even constructed our own little city scape with Mega-Blocks. "Mom! Look! It's waaay huge! Look at Henry Young's City!"
Auy-Yep... "Henry Young" is also getting a whole lot play these days too :)
*For a while now H has been saying his name - without the "R"... as in "Henee" or "Henwee". So lately I've really been working with him... on the "R" sound. Hmmm, perhaps a little too hard?? I wonder, because now he's pronouncing it : "Hen-ER-ee". With an emphasis on the "Er" in the middle combined with all the breaks and pauses at each syllable. Mmmm, Ooops.
