Downhill Racer

One advantage of living on a hill, I suppose, is when you get as much snow as we have lately, your front yard miraculously turns into your own private bunny slope. A fact that didn't go unnoticed around these parts this morning. H-man and The P took advantage of all the fresh powder and headed out right after breakfast. The only real drawback of course, is you have to mind the street. Though not because of cars, our street is so nice and quiet that way, but because if you crash and burn on the asphalt - well, it sorta hurts like hell. And after a couple of minor wipe outs The Boys got clever and constructed a snow barricade at the end of their run... which worked amazingly well, as long as H was able to stay the course. The fact that his little saucer sled would spin around in circles as he careened down the slope was an enormous hit! Father and Son had an amazing time freezing their tail feathers off together. But it was so frigidly cold out today that I had to finally lure them back inside with some frothy hot chocolate.

We've had such a wonderful holiday break... both The P & lil' H have been on vacation from work and school, allowing us oodles of time together. I'm sad that it'll all come crashing to a close tomorrow. As everyone heads back to their regularly scheduled programs on Monday.
