Merry and Bright

Have you yet Realized that 2009 is nearly behind us? It's so hard to wrap my head around the idea that it is already Christmas Eve. It's difficult to fathom that as we prepare to ring in the new year, we are closing the book on an entire decade. Flynn is 9 months old today! And Hen will be FOUR in just under 2 months! How does all of that happen? It's wonderfully crazy and amazingly mind bending.

Tonight marks the beginning of a new tradition for our little family unit... as it's the first time in 17 years that we Didn't open presents on Christmas Eve. The P and I simply felt that the excitement of a 3 year old coupled with the Santa gig really warrants the dedication of a whole entire day. But who knows, once the boys are older, we may very well revert to our old rebellious ways. You just never know. As this beautiful evening comes winding slowly down... there isn't a square inch of available real estate left under the tree and the stockings, all bursting at their seams, are threatening to bring the mantle down. Cookies and Carrots await our impending guests, while we quietly sneak off to the Unky Punky Time.
